Florida Same-sex Marriage Status

The same-sex marriage ban in Florida has taken a shot in the arm as the Supreme Court rejected the Attorney General’s request to intervene in an ongoing case which found Florida’s ban unconstitutional.

This does not mean that same-sex marriage is legal in Florida, as January 5th is the day the ongoing case’s stay expires. This is a step in the right direction, however, for freedom to marry and the right to have same-sex marriages in other States recognized.

The modern family has been undergoing change since the dawn of time and this is no different. Where there is love there is family. Stay tuned for further updates on the status of same-sex marriage in Florida.
