The Selection Process
To qualify for the Rising Stars, prospective candidates must be 40 years of age or younger and in practice for 10 years or less. Additionally, all attorneys must go through the Super Lawyers selection process before they can qualify for Rising Stars. Attorneys who are not chosen for the Super Lawyers list, but meet the strict criteria for Rising Stars, will go through the next phase of this selection process. Ultimately, fewer than 2.5% of attorneys in the state are named in the Rising Stars list, making this a rare achievement.

Alex Peterson is a graduate of Ave Maria School of Law and exclusively focuses on matrimonial and family law.
