Meet Travis

Travis is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. Travis graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law with honors. He was also the President of several of the school’s organizations and a member of the school’s prestigious National Moot Court Team.

After graduation Travis started honing his litigation skills in criminal court; acting as lead attorney on murder and high-profile felony cases, first as a prosecutor and later as a defense attorney. Realizing his desire to focus on helping people before problems arise, and to navigate through the toughest challenges of their lives, he started focusing solely on family law matters.

Travis has handled complex family law litigation matters for over a decade. Before relocating to Southwest Florida, and joining the Family First Legal Group team, Travis was a named partner at Brinkoetter, Hassinger & Strobach in Decatur, Illinois. After being divorced himself, he moved back to St. Louis, Missouri and ran his own successful law firm for several years. Travis’s law firm was named a Top-Ranking Law Firm for his work in Family Law by the American Association of Attorney Advocates and he also received the national ranking award of Top 10 Attorney Under 40.

Travis is an Honorably Discharged US Naval Veteran who has served in the Persian Gulf. He understands the importance of teamwork, diligence and how to get the job done for his clients.

If you see Travis outside of the office, he is likely with his wife and daughter either dining near the water, relaxing at an outdoor concert, or enjoying the sun and surf Southwest Florida is famous for. He is an avid sportsman and has a deep passion for both fishing and hunting.
